Summer Huggins

Summer Huggins serves as Creek Content’s community and content specialist. With more than 12 years of experience in online content, she stays on top of the trends, tools and techniques that make web content dynamic and fruitful for clients.

An experienced community manager and content editor, she’s been part of award-winning teams that have earned recognition from groups such as the Custom Content Council (formerly Custom Publishing Council), the Web Marketing Association and the American Society of Business Publication Editors for their use of content and digital and social media on event-related and member-focused websites. An early adopter of tools such as Twitter and Flickr, Huggins uses these and dozens of others to help clients stay engaged with members and customers.

Huggins has a B.A. in English from Southwest Texas State University, and she’s worked in health care, publishing and association marketing, in addition to a stint at a television shopping network.

A self-professed grammar nerd, Huggins once marked up a novel with red pen and sticky notes to send it back to the publisher. She can’t read for pleasure without naturally taking notice of every comma. She’s also a published photographer and a professional golfer in the making.
